  • Don’t just LOOK forward to Spring – PLAN forward!

Gardening begins with plans and dreams. You look at the dusty brown ground and dried leaves and stems and see lush green foliage and vibrant colors. We totally get it.

We’re here to help you make your plans to have the garden of your dreams, and now is the time. Our specials this week follow our recurring mantra of “what you need now is on sale now”, as we feature seeds and seed starting supplies, including (new for us this year) heat mats to place under your seed starting trays. Anyone who grows with soil heat is MUCH more successful; the seed germination rate is higher, and the seeds grow faster and stronger. NOW is the time to start lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes*, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, and all root crops except carrots. We’re going to set up a demonstration at the nursery with two seed trays, side by side… one with heat and one without... and keep you posted on our Instagram page.

This is also the time to plan your dream landscaping updates. Get your sketches and photos together and set an appointment with our resident landscaping consultant, Jack Smith. Jack will help you pick the trees, shrubs, and perennials and lay out your annual beds… you name it. Just call 899-7555 to schedule a consultation.

And not everything that goes in your garden and other outdoor spaces needs a lot of attention to get a lot of admiration. We have an amazing selection of lawn and wall decor, in metal and clay and concrete. Attract and refresh the birds in a beautiful birdbath or fountain, adorn a wall with a stunning sun face, or grace a quiet corner with a saintly statue. All 20% off this week!

We say this a lot as the season progresses, but this really IS one of our favorite times of the year. Come in and do some “just looking” and you’ll find our gardening professionals ready to answer any and all questions that may pop into your head.

*Start your tomatoes from seed now, and plant them in a Wall-o-Water in February or March and have BLT’s on Mother’s Day!
